Empowering less fortunate and the homeless for a bigger and brighter future.

Home Haven's Mission to Help the Homeless Community

At Home Haven, we are a group of passionate teenagers who have come together to make a positive impact in the homeless community. Through our mission of showing love and kindness like Jesus did, we strive to feed and interact with those in need. Join us on this journey as we share our experiences and spread awareness about the importance of giving back.

The Inspiration Behind Home Haven

Our journey began with a simple idea - to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. We were inspired by the resilience and strength of the homeless community and felt compelled to do our part in helping them. With a shared belief in the power of kindness and compassion, Home Haven was born.

Our Mission and Values

At Home Haven, our mission is clear - to show love and kindness to those in need. We believe in the importance of treating every individual with respect and dignity, regardless of their circumstances. Through our acts of service and generosity, we hope to create a positive impact in the lives of the homeless community.

The Impact of Our Work

The impact of our work at Home Haven goes beyond just providing meals. Through our interactions with the homeless community, we have formed meaningful connections and built lasting relationships. Our efforts have not only helped meet the immediate needs of those in need but have also inspired hope and positivity in their lives.

Hi my name is Nat Johnsrud. I am the original founder of Home Haven

I grew up in a household that focused on community service, with my parents consistently helping those in need. I remember when my father woke us up every saturday to chop wood for those who couldn’t do it themselves, or when my mother helped people quietly, which inspired me to enjoy giving back. This instilled in me a desire to spread love and create smiles. I founded Home Haven to mirror Jesus Christ's love and show that everyone can make a difference. I aim to love the homeless and eradicate stereotypes about them, to give them a sense of hope.

My name is Paul Eckert. ( Sponsor to Home Haven)

I am a local contractor. A few months ago I had the good fortune of meeting a group of young people who have formed a small organization they have named “HOME HAVEN” They are a fledging organization whose goal is to meet the needs of homeless persons in our community in any ways they can. They feed them, they give them clothing, shoes, sanitary supplies and other basic necessities whenever they can.

They talk to them – and they LISTEN to them. They genuinely CARE about them and they show it openly! These young people are doing what we, the adults who have far more resources and greater abilities to bring about change, should be doing.

These young people are a shining example of kindness and generosity. They need exposure, they need media coverage, they need an audience with the Mayor whose goals, by the way, are quite similar regarding the homeless population in our city, and they need support and funds and a reliable vehicle.

If you are able and willing to assist these remarkable young people in their selfless endeavors to help those among us who are less fortunate, please contact them via the website or call me direct at 303-807-8004.

“I love being a part of Home Haven because I love seeing the smiles on faces when we give them the opportunity to have new clothes and warm meals. They are always so grateful and happy when we come together to support one another.”
